Johana Ajax begann 2003 Lindy
Hop zu tanzen und es war Liebe auf den ersten Blick. Sie hatte schon immer nach Wegen gesucht, sich selbst durch die Musik auszudrücken und die Freiheit im Lindy Hop beeindruckte sie sehr. Vorher hatte sie 1½ Jahre lang Tap getazt und dabei
ihre Liebe zur Musik entdeckt. Ihre Leidenschaft beim Tanzen ist auch nicht zu übersehen.
2004 kam sie mit der weltberühmten Tanzformation
"Harlem Hot Shots" in Kontakt, wo sie in vielen Tanzstunden von deren unglaublichen musikalischen und emotionalen Ausdrucksfähigkeit
tief beeindruckt und motiviert wurde.
Ihre gesamte Freizeit verbrachte sie von jetzt an damit, zu trainieren und ihr Verständnis von Bewegung mit und ohne Partner
zu verbessern. Sie selbst fing 2005 als Tanzlehrerin an, nahm an internationalen Workshops in Schweden und in Deutschland teil und gibt auch
ab und zu zusammen mit den "Hot Shots" Tanzkurse. Johana kommt eigentlich von anderen Tänzen, wie "Swedish Bugg", Foxtrot und Salsa, aber
die Swingtänze Tap, Lindy Hop und Charleston wurden schließlich ihr Lebensinhalt.

Johanna Ajax started to dance Lindy Hop in 2003 and she fell in love with the dance the first time she saw it. She has always tried to find different ways to express herself trough music, and the freedom in the Lindy Hop really impressed her. She had danced Tap for about 11/2 year before and had already found herself loving the music and not one person could avoid noticing her passion about the dance.
In 2004 she got in touch with the world famous swing dance company "Harlem Hot Shots" and she took at lot of classes from them cause of their incredible reflection of feeling in the music. That really impressed and encouraged her to continue.
She dedicated all of her spare time to practice and improve her understanding of movement and connection.
Johanna herself started to teach in between 2005-2006 and have been giving classes since then. From now and then she also teaches together with the Hot Shots and has participated in different workshops in Sweden and also in Germany.
Johanna has a background in different styles such as "Swedish bugg", foxtrot and salsa. But the swing dances have become to be the absolutely main part of her life, so as Tap, Lindy Hop and Charleston.
